{"id":1034,"date":"2016-11-21T18:00:35","date_gmt":"2016-11-21T18:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/?p=1034"},"modified":"2016-11-21T18:01:11","modified_gmt":"2016-11-21T18:01:11","slug":"fbi-seeking-tstc-graduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/?p=1034","title":{"rendered":"FBI Seeking TSTC Graduates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(HARLINGEN) &#8211; The Federal Bureau of Investigation has its sight set on students from Texas State Technical College in Harlingen.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI is in pursuit of new candidates, and members spoke with several soon-to-be graduates about how they can become part of this exciting organization.<\/p>\n<p>The informative presentation began with a recruitment video which featured the day-to-day life of an FBI recruit in Quantico, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been 20 years since I\u2019ve been at the academy,\u201d said Training Coordinator Adolfo Baesa.\u00a0 \u201cI was an undercover agent for seven years, and now we\u2019re looking for the new generation of FBI agents.\u201d<a href=\"http:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FBIRecruitsTSTCGrads.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1035 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FBIRecruitsTSTCGrads-300x214.jpg\" alt=\"FBI Recruiters at TSTC \" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FBIRecruitsTSTCGrads-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FBIRecruitsTSTCGrads-768x549.jpg 768w, https:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FBIRecruitsTSTCGrads-1024x731.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/news.tstc.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/FBIRecruitsTSTCGrads-624x446.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are countless opportunities within the organization, and the agents made sure that students were aware of the many options available to them.<\/p>\n<p>The audience consisted of students from different technologies including Computer Networking and Security Technology, Biology and Chemical Technology; many of whom were eager to know where their degrees would place them in the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>Nora Galvan, a student in Chemical Technology, shared her excitement about having the agents visit the campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really neat to see the job opportunities available to everybody after college,\u201d she said.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m glad they took the time to come and speak with all of us today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the inquiring students raised their hands to ask questions, Baesa reassured the inquisitive individuals that the FBI is always looking for determined and focused graduates to add to their top notch teams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI enjoy when students have intelligent questions.\u00a0 It\u2019s very inspirational seeing that curiosity from them, and I love that they\u2019re considering a career with us,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cWe will help you find what best fits your skills, and guide you through the process.\u00a0 The first step is applying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For more information on careers within the FBI, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.FBIJobs.com\">www.FBIJobs.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about TSTC Career Services, visit http:\/\/www.tstc.edu\/student_life\/careerservices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(HARLINGEN) &#8211; The Federal Bureau of Investigation has its sight set on students from Texas State Technical College in Harlingen.
