I was learning as the students were learning,\u201d he said. \u201cI feel like having that tour on the first day helped me get a jump-start in the role.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So far he is enjoying getting to connect with students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love getting to meet the students and sharing information with them and sharing my background, getting personal with them,\u201d Brooks said. \u201cI like helping them find something that they want to do in their life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brooks attended Hallsville High School in Longview and graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting from Louisiana Tech University in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>He enjoys the different perspective TSTC offers potential students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody has this one viewpoint where you have to go to the four-year school,\u201d Brooks said. \u201cWe\u2019re offering something completely different. And because of that, TSTC can help so many more students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coordinator of student recruitment Patty Lopez said she is happy to have filled her team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve expanded our student recruitment team, and we are thrilled at the addition of Clayton to our TSTC family,\u201d she said. \u201cGrowing our team has been one of the greatest things to happen this year, and I am excited for the upcoming fall recruiting season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TSTC prides itself on being \u201ca great place to work\u201d and is currently hiring for positions at its 10 campuses statewide.
